AN OUT-BREAK OF BANANA BACTERIAL WILT DISEASE IN MULEBA DISTRICT, KAGERA REGION, TANZANIA

The current issue of African Crops Magazine carries an article on the out-break of suspected Banana Bacterial Wilt disease in Muleba District. The major symptoms of the disease are wilting and premature ripening of the fruits. According to Scientists from Maruku Agricultural Research and Development Institute, the disease has already affected about 100 households in the district. Further confirmatory tests are being conducted on the samples obtained from the infected plants. More ……..
